iOS10 WiFi Keeps forgetting hidden network

It's intermittent for me, it'll be fine for a few days, then suddenly forget the SSID again and I have to log in manually for two or three days. It's definitely not fixed as an update hasn't been issued.

the problem is not random, it appears after You have connected to a new 'not hidden' wifi network (somewhere else) and after that the phone doesn't connect automatically to the before well known hidden connected networks.

oh Apple !!! What's about quality control, before releasing a new iOS release ??? All necessary tests can be done by software automatically if configured.

btw: for a year I now wait for an update which makes it possible that my iWatch can connect to a WiFi network which I can configure !

Issue happened again. iPhone 5C, iOS 10. After trying to connect to a "not hidden" wifi. Needed to enter network's name and passeord again.

I have the same issue on an iPhone 6s with iOS 10. It looks like there is a flaw on the update. Every time i try to re-connect to a hidden network I have to enter the network credentials. Apple, please fix this. Soon.

I have the iPhone 7 plus and I'm having there exact same issue as the iPhone 5 and 5s users.

This problem is not solved. I have tried the so-called solution "Reset Network Settings", which seemed to help for a day or two, but did not actually solve the problem. My phone forgot the network after sitting all alone overnight, connected to the hidden network, at home where it could contact the network. That's what I call "still broken" and definitely not "Solved".

And, "Reset Network Settings" had the unfortunate side effect of deleting all of the wifi information for all of the networks I had ever connected to, which is a real bummer.

Please fix this bug. It's a bug. Don't deny it now. (Although I assume Apple and its representatives are legally not allowed to admit that bugs exist.)

I have the same issue, other versions of iOS are perfect, I didn't expect this kind of problem.

+1 for the same issue. I have an iPhone 5s and am running iOS 10.0.2.

Have tried restarting the phone & resetting the network connections to no avail. While I could enable SSID broadcast on my home network, the team supporting my employer's corporate network (spanning nationwide offices) is not likely to change policy due to iOS version issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can anyone confirm with 10.1 recent release fixed it? I am being told that there is a Apple Radar 1178157657 open and that Apple thyself is able to reproduce the issue. I've done updates on 2 separate iOS 5/5s phones and neither fixed our issue if the SSID is set to Hidden.

My 5S was forgetting my work SSIS yesterday, and since upgrading this morning has not done so, neither has my iPad Mini. One day is purely anecdotal though, I'd want to wait two or three days at least before being close to certain as the problem is so intermittent.

Notably, the 10.1 release notes apparently do not mention wifi issues at all, only Bluetooth ones (which I also experienced).

I have installed the software update 10.1 and can confirm the issue of not automatically connecting to a hidden wifi (at my work) still exists on my iphone 5S.

I have the same problem with my iphone 6S, installing 10.1 did not work.

I have a 5S and so far the 10.1 update has corrected the problem. Mine would forget it overnight or when I walk the dog a quarter mile away from the house and its no longer doing that. Will post again, if it fails.

resetting network and phone is useless in nearly all cases, its a windows manner to solve problems, Apple: Have we arrived Microsoft Windows level in support ? Please make your homework and fix the WLAN hidden network issue !!!

Today I finally got my 5S working with the hidden wifi. I reset network settings, and then when I added the hidden wifi details again I made sure security was set to WPA2.
Working now as expected and it rejoins the hidden wifi when I leave and come back into the wifi range,
