Q: iOS10 WiFi Keeps forgetting hidden network

I am on iPhone 5S iOS version 10.0.1 on T-Mobile network. At my work place we have hidden wifi network. It was working fine. But after my upgrade to iOS 10, the phone keeps forgetting the hidden network every time it goes another wifi network (say at home). My other colleagues who has iPhone 6 or 6s does not have any issues. Any help is appreciated.

iPhone 5s, iOS 10

I can suggest three options; you can set your router to broadcast your SSID temporarily until the next OS upgrade comes out or you can can download and install the 10.1 2 Beta after agreeing to the terms and conditions or you can continue to input your home network info to reconnect to it until the OS upgrade comes out.

Hi All, same problem here with all Iphone 5 users, phone will forget company hidden wifi network, no proposed solution works. All other useres with different handset than a 5 series have no problems. Furthermore, all 5 series users are having other serious issues like the mail not synchronizing with company Exchange server as they were doing fine for years! No solution to this either!

Apple, give me back my life, I cannot spend my time connecting and reconnecting every hour or so on the WiFi company network, and I cannot stand keep receiving the same emails from the server after I have deleted them from the phone.

I Have the same problem with my iPhone 5s and my IPad Pro. It has never been able to auto connect on my iPad since I updated it to iOS 10 right as I got it, however my iPhone 5s will not auto connect after updating to iOS 10. What's odd is that my 5s was on all of the iOS 10 betas, and it only stopped working on the final release version. My Mac connects fine, and all of my friends with an iPhone 6 or above, or Android phone are having no problems. Even my 3DS and Wii U can connect without a problem! The most annoying part for me is that the password is a long string of letters, numbers, and symbols, so I have to copy and paste it from notes every time. And just like what everyone else is saying, always fails to connect on the first try, works fine on the second try. I have lots, and I mean HUNDREDS of connections I don't want to lose, so I don't want to reset my network settings, but most people have been saying that doesn't work anyways. This is a huge iOS 10 bug, and it better be fixed sometime soon.

It is working now. My iPhone had connected automatically to my hidden SSID at the last.

Can anyone at apple confirm that it has really been fixed.  I have not had a lost hidden connection for a few days and changed nothing.

Are we just lucky that randomly not hitting the issue?

I suspect as there has been no update we have just been lucky recently

No it hasn't been fixed for me either - but it won't be fixed until apple send the next update surely?

So there's not much we can do but wait.

I agree - I just think the problem is random so can disappear for periods of time.  Yes I would think Apple would need to release an update to IOS10.

It's intermittent for me, it'll be fine for a few days, then suddenly forget the SSID again and I have to log in manually for two or three days.  It's definitely not fixed as an update hasn't been issued.
