NetInstall: System Image Utility Crashes on macOS Sierra Image Creation

For those who have upgraded to macOS Sierra and attempted to create a NetInstall image of macOS Sierra using System Image Utility, have you had success? It appears to crash 100% of the time at the final step after entering the administrator password to begin image creation.

I can get the Sierra NetInstall image to create without issue (Server 5.2 on 10.12, Mac Mini). However, the resulting NetInstall image is unusable. It netboots, the "will partition the disk" thing comes on, and it just freezes. My workflow is short, just Define Image Source > Partition Disk > Enable Automated Install > Add one package > Create Image.
