search by date and time

Hi,

I use Yosemite 10.10.5.

I am trying to search for files by date and time, and the methods found online don't seem to work.

People suggested using "created: xx/xx/xxxx" in spotlight, but no matter what date I put into spotlight, it always returns "no result". Is there something wrong? Or does this version not have this function?

HI Maggie_4v4,

I understand you are trying to filter your Spotlight searches by date and time, but it's only ever returning no results. I know it's important to be able to easily find your files, so I'm happy to help.

In addition to the search filter of "Created" try some of the other suggestions in this article to see if they return the expected results:
