Q: No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service.  Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone.  Tried same sim in another phone and it works.  Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue.  Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh.  Any ideas?

I too am having this issue especially when using the WAZE App.  Not saying it is WAZE's issue, sometime when not using the WAZE this occurs.  Thanks for the tip on the Airplane mode On/Off.  Good band-aid in time of a pinch, but would be nice if this was permanently fixed.

Just an update to my last post.  The new third IPhone 7 I have with AT&T (GSM only, Intel modem) has continued to work fine for 10 days now.  I have deliberately left it on the iOS 10.0 system that it had out of the box, I did not update to 10.0.2 when it tried to.  I still do not know if the no service issue was due to 2 phones in a row with bad hardware, or is caused by a bug in 10.0.2.  I am not willing to update and try it, and risk killing my phone service again.

I Wish Apple would make a clear statement about what is causing all this and what will fix it.

CAN some one from Apple please acknowledge and reply to this support thread, even if it is just to say, here is what we know and are working on?

They will never post here and will not acknowledge the problem..at least not until there's a fix.  But I know from experience that they do monitor some of these threads because I was contacted by a tech to capture logs when I had Wifi problems with my iPhone 6.  I had been posting in another very long thread then.

I have a similar data point in all this.  I got my hands on a new, unlocked iPhone 7 A1660 Model.  It was not from a Verizon store, though, but a reseller.  I moved my Verizon sim over to this other phone.  I did NOT restore from backup, I just manually installed most of the apps and reconfigured things as a new phone.  I left Voice and Data over LTE on.  It has iOS 10.0.1 with Verizon 25.1.  I did NOT upgrade it to 10.0.2.  The phone has been steady on LTE and hasn't dropped to 3G, 1x or No Signal for two days, with constant GPS usage (Pokémon Go).  In areas of weak signal, it will drop to 1 dot/bar, but does not lose LTE.  So far so good.

There are a lot of variables here, so not sure what it means.

Editing to add...I just noticed that this newer phone does the hissing though.  Sigh...can't win.

I Too noticed it in Waze. Cycling airplane mode fixes the issue sometimes. Sometimes it takes multiple cycles.

It's not just Verizon with this problem. I have AT&T and I just got my Rose Gold 7 plus. I've had the phone a week and it's already saying no service. I've done everything I can to keep the phone running but as of now, I'm red hot and I'm not happy! I've had iphones since I turned 16 and I'm now 20 and in my second year of college. I've been waiting on the 7 plus for so long and I can't go through my day knowing that my phone has no service. I'm going to the Apple Store after work, today, in hopes that they can help me somehow.

Unfortunately the reset didn't help-- wife's iPhone 7 still lost signal while my S7 held onto LTE the whole ride down from Danbury CT into NYC.

So we switched LTE to Data Only and it was only slightly better. Went into 3G instead of saying "no service".

Change your LTE under Cellular to Data Only instead of having Data + Voice. I haven't had an issue with signal dropping since I made the switch. I'm using a 7 Plus on Verizon.

This morning Apple released a software update  (iOS 10.0.3) which specifically addresses the "no service" issue.  If you haven't received the notification on your phone, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update to force a download.  I just downloaded it, turned back on LTE Voice and Data, and hopefully there will be no issues.

I had previously decided to use the beta approach and perhaps because of that when I check for software update, I get iOS 10.1 and am told my software is up to date.  When I went to the beta and got the third beta, it did help.

Not sure what one does in this circumstance.  Do I delete my iOS Beta Software Profile to get 10.0.3?  Anyone who can help?

at this point if you're running beta just ride it out til the GM version. There's a few enhancements you may have gotten used to in 10.1. It's not unsafe to run 10.1, so don't stress the 10.0.3 update!

I brought it down.  I will let you know later once I drive home.  Really notice it when I am using WAZE or am on the road.

Another topic prior to 10.0.3 release.  Test was freezing a lot.  It seems to be ok now.  Did you or any other people have this issue too?

    Hi

Apple has today released iOS 10.0.3.

This fixes bugs including an issue where users may lose cellular data connectivity:
