Q: No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service.  Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone.  Tried same sim in another phone and it works.  Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue.  Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh.  Any ideas?

I just tried the tip today turning off/on Verizon end. Will Be testing it today.

The only remedy so far is not using VoLTE and having LTE for data only. what urks me more, is verizons aggressive promotion of advanced LTE. i do not see any progression in the NYC outer boroughs. Brooklyn & Queens. Even Staten Island or jersey.

I had an appointment at the 24 hour Apple Store this morning I missed out. after reading people's phone swaps didn't help, im waiting it out I guess?

I had this problem as well.  iPhone 7 128GB Verizon.  Switched out for another one at the Apple Store BUT KEPT THE SAME SIM CARD and the ISSUE PERSISTED.

I called Verizon.  The tech and I now suspect it is the SIM card.  He is mailing me out a new one (I'm too lazy to go to the store) but I'm sure this is it.  It happened on 2 phones after all and the only common denominator is that SIM card.

Someone in an earlier post noted that swapping to another iPhone fixed it but I wonder if that person used a new SIM or kept the old one.

Here's the thread from macrumors, http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/iphone-7-plus-no-service-vzw.1997680/. Everything has been tried and nothing seems to fix the problem. Fix needs to come from Apple/Verizon.

Same for for me.  I just had Apple support run a diagnostic on my phone and they say it's not a hardware problem. This is happening to me when I use WAZE app.  It'll be working and then will say no GPS and phone says No Service in upper left where bars should be.

I had the same issue, I also have Verizon my GPS would stop working, go from LTE to 1x, then no service at all including not being able to make phone calls. I went to apple store, they did a reset n the phone, did not help, by the way I was the second person in with this issue. I was then told to do another reset after backing my phone to iTunes with the volume button and the on/off button with the assistance of Apple Care. That did not work, I was told that I would get a replacement. I called Verizon and was on the phone with them for 2 hours they said, that they were not completely sure of the problem but, one other person in my zip code had same problem. I was told that my area was marginal coverage, that the poor reception could be from foliage on the trees and come fall it could improve. I also was told that it could be the antenna placement in the phone too. I then called back Apple care and explained the problem and was told that I was the first person that they had this issue. They are sending me a replacement. I thought I was the only one with this issue but, after checking in here, I guess its a real issue, I just hope it is not the antenna, a simple update would correct it.

II've tried everything.  I'm on my SECOND 7 plus from the Apple Store (Verizon service), and it's still happening. I've done all resets mentioned in this thread, and even spoken to a Verizon representative.   nobody has a clue.

IT happened to me this morning for he second time at the same time, same spot second day in a row on line at my Starbucks store. Then twice on my way to work using Waze. So yes it occurs while using GPS, but also when using a "pay" app??  This is getting real annoying....

This is definetely a frustrating issue. I didn't have to do any resets to stop the problem. Turning off VoLTE stopped the behavior in my phone and many others on the forum. Did you try that? Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Options -> Enable LTE -> Data Only. I spoke to Verizon Tier 2 support yesterday and they said Verizon is working on a fix with Apple Engineers so soon I hope this will be over and we'll all be able to turn VoLTE back on.

I Turned  VoLTE off again, I'll see what happens on my way home from work and also when I use my Starbucks app again.  My Verizon rep is calking me back tonight and I also have a scheduled call from an apple tech so I will be updating everyone about the issues with this phone.

Try the tip going around turning off HD calling on Verizon end. Reset network settings. Wait few minutes, re-add HD calling. I tried Waze briefly after. It did mess with the signal and pushed the phone into 3G. But it didn't goto no service. I will know later on a longer distance ride what happens.

I turned off Wifi voice in the LTE settings and had a one hour commute with Waze and no problems this morning.   Hoping for more of the same later today.

Adding my piece to the forum. I of course have the same problem (I live in Maryland). The first couple of days my phone worked perfectly and now I lose service randomly through out the day.

    1. I pay TOO much money to Verizon to lose service so consistently.

I've lost service on the way to work, in my home, in the mall 4-5 stores from the Apple store. I haven't been able to duplicate it on my own but in areas where I typically have full bars and service I've had 2-3 bars and it spends a lot of time toggling between 3G and LTE.

I've talked to several people who live in VA, and TX who are experiencing the same issue (with both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus). Heading to the Apple store today as I have called AppleCare twice and they "haven't heard of this issue."
