why won't my photos reload after updating to OS Sierra
No idea as we can not see you or your computer
why won't it reload? What exactly happens? What error message do you get?
It works fine here on a couple of Macs

Finally loaded photos after 2 hour delay. Very slow to load photos, but now they are there. Thx for answering.

I had the same experience, though not as extended .. the first launch of Photos under Sierra took 40 minutes before any pictures appeared.
Pretty much the same issue. Launched Photos and for the past hour, just getting the rotating hash marks (not beachball). The task bar seems normal, with no "Task is not responding" message.
