Q: macOS Sierra installers

I participated in the incremental updates of Sierra. I am having trouble downloading to one of my computers. I am told that if I saved an Installer that I have to first delete it before doing the final download. Where do I find this installer if I have saved it? I looked in apps but nothing there. Any assistance would be appreciated.

No, nothing indicating installer there. I have successfully downloaded to my desktop and now am attempting a laptop other than the one I was using for incremental updates to the new OS.

Also check your downloads folder. It shouldn't be there, but....

I will give up for now. I have the second to last build, for Sierra, which appears to satisfy my requirements. I am also satisfied with El Capitan on my other laptop. I have the Sierra on my desktop so I will just stop all this confusion and madness, in trying to load it at a much later date. I do not need all the bells and whistles they have introduced in the new OS. Thanks to all who responded with helpful comments. Have a great day.
