Thanks for your post. I see that your Mac goes back to the login screen after you logged in. You mentioned that you have made sure the disk is fine and the permissions are good. Those are great steps. I know how much I rely on my Mac so I will be more than happy to help.
With your computer being able to boot fine in Safe Mode, that indicates there may be a third party service that is causing some problems. I have some articles for you to check out.
OS X El Capitan: If you have problems with startup items
OS X El Capitan: Login Items pane of Users & Groups preferences
You can remove all start up items and login items then test to see if you can boot normally, If you can, you can re-add one item at a time and continue testing to see which item is causing the problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have already tried removing login items and it did not work. I welcome all other suggestions.
