Apple Watch app background app refresh

has anyone found a way to make changes in background app refresh settings on the Apple Watch stick. They keep changing back to all on.

Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 3

Hi

The following steps may help:

Check whether Restrictions are enabled:

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Restrictions > under Allow Changes, check whether Background App Refresh is set to Don't Allow Changes.

Close the Watch app on your iPhone and restart both devices:

On your iPhone: double-click the Home button, then swipe up on the Watch app preview.
Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first:
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

TThanks Jonathan. I checked and all restrictions were off and did the restart procedure. When I turn off watch app by swiping up on iPhone and then restart it the background app refresh settings revert to all allowed. not a big deal, I will keep at it.

Were the Background App Refresh switches 'allowed' for all apps, or just Apple Watch? Appears there might be a bug in iOS 10 where BAR is turning back on by itself for all apps... there's a handful of others seeing this (myself included).
