Q: Logic Pro X upgrade for mac

I upgraded from Logic 9 (which worked perfectly well) to Logic Pro X.

The upgrade will only allow me to create new midi tracks. No audio, bass, software or drummer tracks, etc. Everything is greyed out. It recognises my Yamaha Steinberg input/output  device. And I have noticed that in Preferences, the plug-in manager is greyed out.

I use a 15 inch mac book pro laptop  running on OSX El Capitan with the version 10.11.6 (latest upgrade).

I have also been running Logic Pro X on a second machine (my desktop 27 inch iMac), for the last 3 months, with no problems.

Never had any problems with Logic Pro 9 either.

I was wondering if the user is allowed to use it on more than one machine?

It allowed me the free download, so I presumed it's OK.

I thought 5 machines was the limit.

Any ideas????

Thank you in advance.

    Hi

Go to Logic Pro X>Preferences >audio and under the Devices Tab, choose the I/O device  & enable Core Audio.

Also go to Logic Pro X>Preferences > Advanced Tools and turn them all on while you are at it.

CCTM you have made my day. I've been scratching my head for about three days. I must have looked at that option more than 100 times. Thank you for your speedy advice. Have a nice day, (from Downunder).
