Sep 22, 2016 3:24 PM in response to spazio-keeperby adrian-polglase,I have just removed Trusteer Rapport off my Mac and I have to admit, it seems to have calmed everything down. Both Mail Web Content and Safari are now behaving themselves in terms of CPU usage so far...
If you have Trusteer Rapport installed, as Shawn posted - try removing it and see whether it helps.

Sep 24, 2016 8:48 AM in response to spazio-keeperby Rob W 5,Had the same issue (Safari taking 200% CPU) and had just posted to the Safari stream. Now I see this stream and have "stopped" Trusteer Rapport in Preferences. Seems to have solved the issue. Thanks.

Sep 24, 2016 2:54 PM in response to John Galtby spazio-keeper,Bitdefender may be one of the issues... maybe not for everyone. My Safari has (i hope) stopped taking high CPU. Possibly since I stopped (but not yet uninstalled Bitdefender). Fingers crossed

Sep 25, 2016 5:21 PM in response to spazio-keeperby davejousma,Yea, uninstalling trusteer seems to have fixed the problem, so I went the route of installing Windows 10 in a Virtual Box, and then installed trusteer there, along with Citrix receiver. I will now use that for work, that way I can fully uninstall trusteer and citrix from mac usage.

Sep 26, 2016 10:19 PM in response to spazio-keeperby spazio-keeper,It seemed BitDefender was my problem. No high CPU with it off. Alas Sierra still has broken the AFP connection to my two Synology NAS units.
