Q: imessage
Hi!
I bought new iPad mini-3 (wifi only) for my wife (prev iPad mini-1 wifi worked like a charm)
We having trouble with iMessage. At first I couldn't login in iMessage on iPad.
I kept getting activation errors. So I found lots of helpful tips, but all of those tips revealed a problem with my iMessage settings... there is no slider to turn it on or off. All that's there are fields for Apple ID and password.
we are restart iPad / reset wifi setting, we are make hard reset (sic!) for device, but no luck!
iOS 10.0.1
so, my question is how do we get iMessage to work?
notice: I am also trying use own login/password for logging instead of use wife credentials - error still here.

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
- Press and hold on the Home button
- Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.
Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.
