After upgrade to Sierra and do a clean install, the bonjour multifunction is not work with my HP printer. The printer model is Laserjet CM1415fnw.
I already tried HP software and Apple installed software the scanner function does not work at all. If you download a third party scanner software, you can use the scanner. This issue come with Beta 3 and I reported and not got solved.

I already tried this and did not solve the issue. macOS Sierra does not show any option to have multifunction with bonjour printers.
I hope that HP when release the driver for Sierra could fiz this issue.
What happens if you install the Brother drivers, restart, and then delete and re-add the printer?
I am having this same problem with both an HP OfficeJet J6400 and a Brother MFC-7340. I can't get the scanning functionality to work on either one of them. Hugely frustrating!!
I can fully support this request. I had an Epson Stylus Office BX625FWD working completely fine under El Capitan with Image Capture Application drivers and WiFi and it also worked for some time after upgrading to Sierra but then suddenly stopped. I first removed the printer and tried to re-install it but then noticed that the printer was "only" recognized as "Bonjour" and not "Bonjour Multifunction". So I removed all drivers, reset the printer system and killed PRAM. After that I could install the printer properly and it worked for a week or so. Then for whatever reason, it stopped working again, so I removed the printer again, removed all drivers and killed PRAM but then, no success. So - as the printer was 6 years old and the drivers might not get updated anymore - I decided to buy a NEW Epson WorkForce WF-3620DWF and installed all software bundles and whohooo... it was recognized correctly as "Bonjour Multifunction" and I could scan once with Image Capture Application drivers. ONCE! After that same problem again! BUT I could print using Epson Scan software - using TWAIN - ALL THE TIME! So there must be a problem with those ICA drivers and Bonjour Multifunction!
