I have a question about the Macbook application 'PHOTOS'. How can i import a photo from the PHOTOS application directly into Lightroom? And also how can i attach a photo to an email directly from the 'PHOTOS' application?
it seems that i can not do it? Or am i missing something here? How can Apple overlook something like this in the workflow?

LR and Photos are totally separate applications each requiring its own database - so in Photos select the desired photos and export (file menu ==> export) probably the unmodified original and import to LR
TO send a photos by email form Photos make sure mail is set as the default mail reader and in Photos e=select the photo and click on the share icon (the box with the up arrow sticking out of it) and choose Mail - or launch Mail and use the photo browser there or use the media browser there

Hi Larry, i tried to export a photo to LR by selecting the desired photo and clicking 'export', and then clicked on 'unmodified' as suggested. it then took me to the 'file type' and 'file naming' to select. thats fine but then i clicked on 'export', and it took me to the computers 'Finder' folder, and i have no idea how to get it to LR from here?
Also, for the 2nd question, i don't use apple's 'Mail' application as my main email. I use Yahoo.

export to the desktop or to a folder on the desktop - where ever you want - and then import from that location into LR - I did not ever say to export to LR - two seperate steps - export then import

2 - import to LR
If you are not using Apple mail (it could have been nice to include that originally) then either use the media browase or export from Photo and import into the mail program of your choice - as far as I know Yahoo does not product a mail client but is just a web based mail service which you can access using APple Mail (which is probably a good idea)
