Q: Auto Unlock with Apple Watch and Mac OS

I know you require a 2013 or later Mac with Mac OS, an Apple Watch with Watch OS 3 and Two Factor Authentication (not Two Step Authentication) to enable this feature, but for what ever reason, it doesn't show up in my System Preferences.

Any ideas?

    Greetings MetallicAsh,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you want to unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. It looks like you have already made sure of a lot of the settings.
I would recommend you read this article, it explains what settings are still required.

Make sure that your devices are set up as follows:

    • Your Mac has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
    • Your Mac and Apple Watch are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu () > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then go to General > Apple ID.
    • Your Apple Watch is using a passcode.
On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then tap Passcode.
    • Your Mac has ”Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac” selected in Security & Privacy preferences.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then select the General tab.

Automatically unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch - Apple Support

    Take care.

Unfortunately your Mac is from early 2013 so it doesn't support Auto Unlock.  Auto Unlock requires a Mac from mid 2013 or later.
