iPhone7 Bluetooth issue in the car

10.2 b7 is out this afternoon folks.. fingers crossed!

The truth is Apple doesn't really care; care to admit there is a hardware issue that would require a recall.

The only way to deal with it is to return the phone within 14 days. That is why I don't rely on AppleCare as they try to draw it out. Or blame others.

Man it would be nice if Apple Music was more stable. Can't go a day without it crashing. It might be time to look for a new music provider.

Yeah, it's a shame that I (and suspect most of us) didn't notice this issue until way after we had the phone for 14 days or had hoped it would be fixed QUICKLY with an iOS update. It's a real disappointment.

I'm hesitant to open a case with Apple because many of the other folks here said that they've had cases open for 70+ days without much of an acknowledgement or reply.

oh well - seems like the intermittent audio drops are becoming more prevalent as each b is released ...😢

ok, not to belabor this but can someone confirm they are experiencing bluetooth "stuttering" on a 7+ model #A1661?

argh - on A1661? dang, i was *hoping* that may be a way around it. my ATT version (A1784) definitely has it

Perhaps the issue is simply more prevalent on AT&T (Intel modem) phones, but it's good to know that it affects both. Or, maybe there's just more of us AT&T users out there?

I have 2015 Ford Edge with sync, my ford touch w/nav. Same exact Bluetooth issues. I do a lot of short runs on my job, getting in and out of car a lot and Its pretty annoying and impractical to plug the phone in to usb for listening every time. APPLE has got to fix this since obviously it is happening on many different car models. Areyou guys at apple reading these posts ??? A lot of people spend good money on the phone, the data service, etc and this is what we get ???

turn off LTE to use the phone in the car. just leave it turned off, and you won't have to worry about it. If Apple fixes this, we can all turn the setting back on. No LTE with full car functionality is better than the alternative of broken iPhone bluetooth.

It's not a bad workaround, however, I'm not sure how it is where you live, but AT&T's 4G service is so much slower than their LTE where I am. It's a very noticeable difference in data speed.

It's not about it being an easy workaround, it's about spending $1,000 for a device and the functionality not being fixed after three months. I shouldn't have to.

Noboby should have to. But Apple does not seem to be responsive here. Support isn't even acknowledging the issue. I think this thread has died down recently, because a workaround does exist, even though it is not a perfect solution. So the options are: 1. continue using a broke phone. 2. return/sell the phone 3. use the workaround

I don't think there is anything that we, as users, can do to fix this, short of replacing our cars. It is unfortunate, but I don't think that this thread will have a solution until the time a software update fixes this, if such an update is ever released.
