Sep 28, 2016 1:02 PM in response to brunowajskopby davidsignal,Issue is a bug caused by interference with GSM cellular signals. It goes away if airplane mode is enabled (plus turn back on bluetooth + wifi).
Submit a bug report to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Sep 28, 2016 1:58 PM in response to davidsignalby Jeff Whalen,Been having the same issue with the bluetooth audio dropping out in the car with the iPhone 7 plus. I just submitted a bug report to apple. Keeping my fingers crossed they fix it soon.

Sep 28, 2016 7:24 PM in response to brunowajskopby soiidxsnake,I have this problem too, 2012 Acura MDX. I made a call to the apple rep today and she actually told me this was the first time she had heard of this issue, after seeing this thread... obviously a huge lie. This issue needs to be resolved by apple ASAP before it festers into a iphone6 bending gate issue. I am very shocked at the fact that apple development engineers failed to realize the BT protocol is different from their advanced technology and most of their product users have cars fitted with the older technology and that they did not make it compatible. Shame on you apple!

Sep 29, 2016 6:22 AM in response to brunowajskopby SBrooker,Similar issue here in my 2013 Ford F-150. Says it connected then wont play, then drops the connection. Sometimes it will connect and play for the rest of that drive. But the next time I'm in the vehicle it will refuse to connect after several attempts.

Sep 29, 2016 12:09 PM in response to mrspinkyby mrspinky,Husband is also having issues in 2013 Lexus. Connection keeps dropping. I've noticed that it happens more when you're receiving notifications (text msgs, calendar notifications etc.).

Sep 29, 2016 1:18 PM in response to mrspinkyby Cessna_172,As referenced below and here, airplane mode is a temporary solution if you must have Bluetooth music streaming.

Sep 29, 2016 1:53 PM in response to brunowajskopby tzakiel,Same issue here. I hope Apple sees this. How can we get it more visible?

Sep 29, 2016 1:58 PM in response to brunowajskopby LivedinAfrica,Having issues with my Ford Sync along with my various blu-tooth headphones.
It's very frustrating. Listening and the audio drops out for a few moments.

Sep 29, 2016 3:48 PM in response to mrspinkyby CyberEnt,I concur that the connection drops when your getting notifications, emails, etc or anything using cellular data... This morning when I started up my car I was still in the garage connected to WIFI from my house and music started streaming through bluetooth from itunes. As soon as pulled away from the house and the phone switched from WIFI to cellular data the audio started cutting out...

Sep 29, 2016 4:23 PM in response to CyberEntby davidsignal,I don't think it is limited to cellular data though. Any GSM cellular signal (AT&T, T-Mobile) will interfere with the bluetooth connection. Cellular needs to be turned off completely for the BT connection to work properly.

Sep 30, 2016 8:36 AM in response to brunowajskopby brooksfromeasley,Let me add iPhone 7 plus keeps dropping bluetooth connection with 2013 Toyota Tundra. Plays for a few seconds and drops. Still shows connected on phone. But, nothing comes through sound system. This happens with both Apple Music, videos played through Safari and third-party apps (iHeart, Tune-In).

Sep 30, 2016 10:57 AM in response to brooksfromeasleyby yoshjosh,I was told by an Apple Senior Advisor that this is a Ford issue:
Update:
I was directed to go to owner.ford.com . Upon filling in the information that’s provided, it is not showing that the make and model of your car is fully compatible with the iPhone 7. It shows iPhone 6s with ios 9.X.X is the latest version that should work 100%. Until the manufacturer because fully compatible with your device you will continue to experience glitches.
That's some pretty disappointing buck passing.

Sep 30, 2016 11:19 AM in response to yoshjoshby Cessna_172,That is a shame, really. Especially because this has nothing to do with Ford and everything to do with Apple's implementation of Bluetooth. Several other users as well as myself have proven the issue lies within the iPhone's ability to negotiate Bluetooth and cellular signal simultaneously.

Sep 30, 2016 11:23 AM in response to yoshjoshby 0gravity0,Lol at "senior advisor". Unless you speak with Tim Cook himself, everyone is equivalent to the blue shirt guys at the shop. They just like to get everyone out of their hair as soon as possible and blame it on the manufacturer. I agree with Cessna_172 when he said it lies squarely on the OS and negotiation of Cell/Bluetooth. I have updated every firmware known to man that BMW has released. Plus it worked fine with my 6S. Plus Apple has publicly acknowledged that they are "aware" of the issue and are working on a fix. I just want my music to work properly again.
