Oct 11, 2016 5:16 PM in response to Cessna_172by King of Pumkins,DO you have AT&T? I think AT&T has more issues.

Oct 11, 2016 5:44 PM in response to King of Pumkinsby CyberEnt,I just downloaded beta 3 (installed on iPhone 7+ | at&t ) and jumped in my car (2015 Lexus GS) and I drive for 6 mins through an area with 1 bar LTE service and no skips. As soon as I got in are where I have 5 bars it starts skipping. It's skipping as I type this. So I also see connection with LTE inteferance.
so that's a negative for beta 3 bluetooth fixes on Lexus.
Unbelievable. Last time being in the first in line for another apple product...

Oct 11, 2016 5:59 PM in response to CyberEntby CyberEnt,Update to last comment-- drove back the same way I came, with issue, as soon as my phone switched to 4G in poor coverage area no more skips. Turned around went back and as soon as I hit LTE it cut out. So I have definitely figured out a test area.
Very disappointed and I wish I could bill apple for all the hours I have spent troubleshooting this.
One final note: the sound quality of the beta 3 is worse then the previous 2. I can now put volume on handset and head unit all the way to max. I reconnected my iPhone 6+ just now and they same song is like night and day. The 6+ is way louder and much more crisp and defined. 7+ is very muffled (compressed).

Oct 11, 2016 8:21 PM in response to CyberEntby davidsignal, seriously. mine is working, driving around with LTE the whole time. And it sounds great. This was tested previously many, many, times and I always used to have issues with LTE coverage, usually immediately. Unless the new iOS has introduced some kind of delayed onset to the connection flaws, I have to believe that this problem is being worked on (and so far seems fixed in my particular vehicle). I have been submitting feedback on experiences with my car with each new beta release, and have noticed some degree of change with each of them. So I like beta 3. Maybe even more vehicles will be compatible with the next release.

Oct 11, 2016 9:00 PM in response to King of Pumkinsby davidsignal, yes, i thought i established that earlier, but I am using an iPhone 7+ on AT&T in a busy area on the East Coast. Driving a 2014 Ford ST with Sync system. The GSM iPhones use different LTE bands, and so I have always assumed that it was something to do with these extra bands that was causing bluetooth interference. As someone with some programming experience, I think the simplest solution, if nothing else works, would be to simply disable those bands when the phone is connected to bluetooth. The user would never know and the total experience would be greatly improved. I am not sure how Apple is approaching this, but it does seem to be taking excessive amounts of time to remedy for all users.
I have really only done two tests so far with beta 3, so it is possible that some issue could still crop up, but I have been testing this for awhile now with 5 different os, and this is the best I have seen. As of now, its perfect. Of course, it could also be that the atmosphere of the earth in my area of the world just happens to be currently in such a way as to hinder the propagation of certain radio waves in the LTE spectrum. But that is more far fetched than to simply come to the conclusion that something has been fixed in a software release put out for the purpose of fixing and testing.

Oct 11, 2016 9:52 PM in response to davidsignalby yoshjosh,iPhone 7 Plus, AT&T, 2015 Ford Escape w/ Sync 2 MFT v3.8.
Still suffering from the stutter, speedup, disconnect issue with iOS 10.1 Beta 3. The issue occurs after 15-30 minutes of driving and then is so bad I can't listen to music. So Beta 3 didn't fix it for me.

Oct 12, 2016 8:00 AM in response to brunowajskopby tylerfromcamp hill,Has anyone tried testing in a Kia Optima at all yet? That's the car I have issues with (Pairing Failed message), and I'd be very curious to see if they've done anything that fixes it.

Oct 14, 2016 4:58 PM in response to davidsignalby davidsignal, update: beta 3 is not perfect on long drives. It is definitely improved over previous versions, however, as it does not disconnect or skip. There is still more fixing needed, but I think things are headed in the right direction.

Oct 18, 2016 7:07 AM in response to brunowajskopby guhmajc,I have a 2012 Honda Accord. Iphone7 10.0.2 I have re-set the car phone settings and deleted the phones reference to hondalink re-booted and re-paired. Still have intermittent connection issues. when trying to force the connection the car can see the phone but issues the message it is not available.. and then sometimes connects. Disappointing. Sometimes it disconnects after completing phone calls etc.

Oct 18, 2016 1:27 PM in response to Auzziemateby davidsignal,10.1 beta 3 was the best in my experience, but beta 4 is out now. Beta 4 is still better than the original 10.0 versions, as there are no skips or disconnects, but it does occasionally stutter while driving around with LTE enabled. I almost think that beta 3 was better, but even that one wasn't 100% perfect. I hope Apple gets it right soon.
