iPhone 7 bluetooth connectivity

I recently upgraded to the iPhone 7, and have had intermittent connectivity issues with Bluetooth pairing, primarily in my vehicle (Kia Optima) but also occasionally with my bluetooth speaker (Jawbone Big Jambox). With my iPhone 6S I could always count on turning on the car or speaker and it would connect without fail. Now, my car bluetooth might pair one out of every 10 times. My speaker will pair about 75% of the time. When I try to re-pair the car (a far larger issue) often the iPhone won't see the handsfree device under its discovery section in Bluetooth. This isn't happening with my wifes iPhone 6S (it's also on iOS 10.0.1). Is anyone else having this issue?

Obviously this is too late for your particular problem but I hope this helps others still struggling with this. I was completely baffled by this problem (2015 Honda Odyssey not connecting to bluetooth after updating iphone 6 to 10.3.3 and also with a new iphone 7). Finally I downloaded the FREE app from the app store: "Hondalink" (not to be confused with Hondalink NAV). Once I did this, the phone could connect (set up pairing again from scratch) and I was again safe to talk and drive! Hope this helps others.

Having the same issues here since the day I got the phone (12/24/16). My 7 will connect to my Bluetooth speakers but not my 2015 Toyota Venza. I've reset the network settings and tried to pair the phone ... turned off Bluetooth, hard restart. You name it, I've done it. I agree, I shouldn't have to restore to factory settings to have the phone work in the car.

Make sure your old device is not still connected to the Bluetooth speaker or car. I had my old phone on using it basically as an iPod and it was still connected to my vehicle and speakers even though it was just sitting on the counter in the kitchen. Turn off Bluetooth on old device and try to connect your new device. I felt the same aggregation when I got a brand new iphone 7 that wouldn't connect to anything! Hopefully you have resolved this by now.

I also have a problem with a brand new iPhone 7. Bluetooth will not find any other devices.

My HTC Android phone will though. I can pair my android to the iPhone by doing it from the Android phone.

But the iPone won't connect to the Android even after it is paired.

iPhone 7 won't discover our 2015 Nissan Pulsar, even though the old 5C and the HTC do.

Had no problems connecting with the old iPhone 5C.

I have tried network reset and reboot several times, but nothing changed.

I solve the problem today; in my iphone 7 my car bluetooth was not seen; first i change the name of my iphone but of no help; then go to the bluetoth setting of my car; delete one device name from the list; then in the car detects my iphone; i did pairing and everything ok; probably in the car there may be a limit of entry in the device list; i checked twice after stopping my car; it reconnects automatically; calling is ok

I have had the same issue with my iPhone 7 that I got in January 2017. I have an F-150 2013 Raptor and it unpairs the phone when on phone calls. I opened a support ticket with apple and had my iPhone 7 replaced twice by apple. I upgraded the the sync firmware 3 times in my truck and had the dealer replace the Bluetooth Module still unpaired when I make a call. this is ridiculous. is there a class action suite because this is a ripoff. I need a fix

I too have the problem, a variant though. New Iphone 7 purchased in April and tethered an ipad mini to it, no issues that I can remember. Bought a new ipad pro 10.5 last month, bluetooth tethering a nightmare. It kept connecting and then dropping within 10 seconds. Convinced it was the new ipad hardware causing the issue I visited a Genius bar. After a lot of trial and error we narrowed it down to the phone. New phone issued and the problem APPEARS to have gone away although I am not entirely convinced as it does still randomly disconnect. The answer given by the Apple geniuses was that it must have been a corrupt back up. Again, not convinced

FIXED IT!

I have bought a 'supertooth buddy' UK cost of £30.00 - it is a retro-fit phone hands free device, BUT for whatever reason use your iphone with the ford sync and it does not cut out. In otherwords, your phone is connected to the supertooth buddy (but you don't 'actually' use it for speaking hands free but keep it connected) AND your car and it doesn't disconnect from the car. Having it connected to TWO bluetooth devices, for whatever reason, stabilizes the connection! I have had awful connection issues - but not now.

Finally someone with the same issue as me! I had noticed the bluetooth icon flashing when I was on the phone setting up ApplePay with my CC company but I just figured it was from restoring my Apple Watch. Then when I left work I set up my iPhone 7 to work with my stereo's handsfree in the car. It stayed connected for a little bit but then it randomly disconnects and refuses to reconnect. It does this on occasion with my Apple Watch as well. Yesterday I feel like I had a fluke using my BT headphones since they worked for a good 45min before I turned them off.

I've been talking with AppleSupport on Twitter and I've done the steps they told me to do. I've reset the network settings and I've unpaired and repaired the stereo several times. The only thing I haven't done is a full iOS restore which seems odd considering it's a brand new iPhone. I'm hoping that it's just an annoying bug in iOS 10.0.1 and that an update will come out in a few days to fix it. Worst case it's a faulty BT chip and I need to swap the phone out for a new one.

My iPhone 6 didn't have any BT connection issues.

I've had this same issue too. It's definitely related to iPhone 7. I never had any problems before this.

After connecting successfully, it will randomly disconnect and stop playing music. Other times it fails to even pair properly, and then I have to delete the phone and re-add it. It typically always works, but it's becoming super annoying having to delete and repair.
