Q: app store xcode download restarting

Hello,

I'm trying to update my xcode to 8.0, using App Store.

I wait for a few hours to complete the 4.43GB download, and after download finishes it gives an error 'Install failed' and when I click install again, it starts over downloading again from zero.

This is the third attempt to download, and I'm really frustrated to download the same 4.43 GB over and over.

I tried 'check for unfinished downloads', but no luck.

I think the temporary downloaded files are somewhere on my disk, because after download progress resets, my disk space does not free up.

I already have xcode 7.3 installed on my system. Do I need to remove it before downloading? Or any other suggestions?
