Q: Macintosh HD Not Appearing After Installing Windows 8.1
Today I installed windows 8.1 onto my 11 inch mid 2013 MacBook Air using Bootcamp. It installed perfectly and I was easily able to switch between Macintosh HD and Windows by pressing Option + Power button. I downloaded the sims 3 and a few expansion packs onto the windows partition and soon realised that I hadn't split enough space for windows. I fixed this by downloading Minitool Partition Wizard. When I was splitting ore space into windows, I accidentally deleted one of the other partitions (I think that's what it was). It had around 600mb on it. Since deleting that, the Macintosh HD partition doesn't appear when I turn on my mac and press option + power button, only the windows partition is available. I went into Internet Recovery by pressing command + r. I then went into disk utility. The Macintosh HD partition was greyed out. I unlocked it, verified and repaired it and then restarted my Mac. Nothing changed. I repeated the command + r and then tried reinstalling Mavericks, but it said "This disk cannot be used to start your computer". There's nothing else I can do, can someone please tell me how to fix this?
