News app says I am offline when I am not

Have connected via LTE/3G and wifi. Location services are on. Find my iPhone is on. Have reset network settings. Everything else works.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue. Goto Settings > News and check that "cellular data" is toggled on. Worked for me.
