Q: Apple ID locked?

How do I know an email I received from Apple is in fact from Apple?  The email says: Your Apple ID has been disabled due to several unsuccessful login attempts from the device listed below.It also has the message in french. My ID Does not appear to be locked.  I opened a child acct for my daughter with family sharing and she has her own ID.  Also, the email does not indicate which ID.  Thanks
