How to change your airdrop user picture?

Hi!

Unfortunately all solutions provided by a Google search seem not to work for me. 😟

Whats the issue: I cannot figure out how to change the profile picture shown when my Macbook Pro (OS: 10.11 - El Capitan) is on AirDrop.

The same problem applies to my work's Macbook Air (same OS) AND my iPhone (latest OSX version as well).

Solutions that havent worked:

- changing my iCloud profile picture

- changing my Apple ID profile picture

- changing the icon on Settings > Users

- changing the icon in my Contacts > My Card

Any other suggestions? I seem not to be the only one with this issue. Albeit not a huge problem, we do use AirDrop frequently at work and as we all have Macbook Airs.. files often don't land where they are supposed to.. 🙂

No one knows how to fix this question ?

In my case, MacBook Pro is showing my iPhone's user picture from longtime ago when I've created my AppleID.

Since long time ago, I've updated the picture and updated on my AppleID, iCloud, Contacts, ... but no on AirDrop icon only for the iPhone. (the MacBook and iPad is showed right with the updated picture)

Even now I've purchased new iPhone, same old picture on Airdrop. From where is taken ? how to update it ?
