Q: Syncing Music to my iPhone with iOs 10

I recently updated my iPhone 5S to iOs 10 and since then the music I placed on the iCloud will not play on my phone nor will album covers that I added to my iTunes library show up on my iPhone.  I don't know if this is an undiscovered problem with iOs 10.0.1. or if there is an easy solution.  I double-checked and the iCloud sync option is clicked open.  And as far as I know I should pretty much be able to put any picture on the Artwork label when I edit the music info.  I know I may sound a little picky but I like to have my album photos on my iTunes library and hate when there is no picture attached with the CD.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No one has as of yet responded to my question so I guess I could give a little more info.  I've been able to download CDs onto my iTunes library and the songs/albums show up on my phone but I cannot play them (I push play and there's no sound) also several album covers (that I had to add pictures of) did not transfer to my iPhone.  As far as I can tell all my sync options are clicked on.  Is there anything else I need to check to figure out how to properly transfer the songs?  They're there in theory but in reality they're not because I cannot play them.  I uploaded 100s of CDs before and they played on my phone without problems.  I've just recently encountered trouble with iOs 10.  Again any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
