Q: Show Complete Album Link in iOS 10
In iOS 10, the "Show Complete Album" link is malfunctioning in the iCloud music library.
I am having the same problem with the "Show Complete Album" link in iOS 10 on multiple devices. On one iPhone 6s Plus and one iPad Mini 2, I am running the official release of iOS 10.0.1. On my other iPhone 6s Plus and one iPad Mini 2, I am running the Golden Master version of beta iOS 10.0.1. They are actually both the same build (14A403) however, so it really should make no difference. In the end, I've got the same exact issues with "Show Complete Album" on all four devices.
I've been able to isolate the problem with "Show Complete Album" in iOS 10, so here is goes.
In iOS 9, rather than saving a whole album to my Library in Apple music, I would always save only track 1, and then use "Show Complete Album" to access the rest of the tracks. This saved space in my iCloud music library, since we are limited to 100,000 non-purchased tracks.
When iOS 10 came out, as previously explained, I could no see the "Show Complete Album" link in my Library, except for albums with purchased tracks or a few other albums that I couldn't understand why "Show Complete Album" was showing up in those cases.
I have know determined that with tracks from Apple Music, the only way to get the "Show Complete Album" link to appear in IOS 10 is either to save at least Track No. 1 and another non-consecutive track from the same album or save at least two other tracks other than Track No. 1 from the same album.
Once I do that, the "Show Complete Album" link appears in the library for that album. Strangely, the link will not appear if you only save Track No. 1 like I did in the past, nor will it appear if you save Track No. 1 and track No. 2. The the link will appear if you pick any other tracks from an album other than Track No. 1, but the link seems to malfunction if you only pick one other track other than Track No. 1 (by malfunction, I mean that the link takes you to a blank album page that never populates with any tracks.)
There are actually a couple of other odd inconsistencies that I noticed while trying all of this out. One, the "Show Complete Album Link" works very quickly sometimes, and other times it takes two or three tries before all of an album's tracks appear. Also, sometimes the link will show a complete album one of my iOS devices very quickly, while taking forever, and multiple clicks of the link before the complete album shows up on another iOS device (the age and memory of the particular devices don't seem to matter; it is all very inconsistent across my iOS devices.
The other odd thing is that if I save two tracks from an album in my music library one of my iPads, for instance tracks 1 and 3 from the album "Music Complete" by New Order, in the Music Library, it shows the label information under the album picture in the library (i.e. 2015 New Order Ltd. under...). However, the label information does not show up in the library under the album cover on my other iPad or on either of my iPhones. Similarly, if I added the same two tracks to my library in iTunes, the label information wold not appear in the library of any of my iOS devices. This point may seem trivial, but it still seems like the same information should appear consistently across all of my Apple devices like it did in iOS 9.
