Q: How to batch delete all the photos I deleted from the Photos Library

After few months of using the Photos App and deleting photos, I would like to know how can I delete from the Hard Disk all the photos I deleted until now. (the recently deleted folder is empty).

Thank you for any suggestion.

If your Photos library is migrated from iPHoto then you have to delete them in iPhoto too - or if you are sure you are done with iPHoto archive yoru iPHoto library and delete it and empty the trash

Did you import your photos to Photos without copying them into the Photos Library?  As referenced images?  Photos has no tools to delete photos that are referenced outside the Photos Library.  You have to manage referenced images yourself. If you delete a photo from Photos that you imported as referenced, the original file outside the library will not be deleted. You have to do that yourself.  The safest way to delete referenced photos is to use "file > Reveal in Finder" before you delete the photo from Photos. Then you know which original file you have to delete manually.

Thank you for answering but it's a brand new Library inside Photos App and not iPhoto.

All the photos I have in the Photos Library have been imported from my iPhone; no previous iPhoto Library or other strange things. My question can be described also in this way: let's suppose to have an empty Photo App Library ... imports 3 photos from iPhone and than delete 1 one of them ( and delete also from the recently deleted folder inside the Photos App) ... "Is this deleted photo still on my hard drive ?".

I hope this time is clearer

If you delete a photo from Photos, that has been imported directly to Photos, and you empty the Recently Deleted album, the original image file will be removed from your hard drive. Photos does not move deleted photos to the system trash like Aperture or iPhoto did.  Once Recently Deleted has been emptied the image file is gone.
