ios10 issues for iPhone6

So I updated to the much awaited iOS 10 over the weekend and have been plagued by issues since then.

1) Battery is consumed twice the rate that it was consumed on iOS 9.

2) The phone gets heated up near the sim card area.

3) The phone shuts down automatically.

4) Many times it doesn't respond and I have to do the hard reset by pressing the power and home button at the same time. I have done this like once or twice a day since the upgrade.

5) There is a constant space issue on the phone. I had like 3 GB of free space before upgrade. After upgrade, sometime it should 500 MB and sometimes it shows 2 GB and sometimes it shows 1.48 GB and as such. Every time I restart the phone, a new figure shows up in the available space.

6) Some apps just don't respond and shut down anytime. Those include Facebook, Snapchat, Skype, etc.

So has anyone faced similar kind of issues?

I am using an iPhone 6. Hoping that apple releases a patch and gets these fixed in that.

Hello Aster007,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important getting your iPhone working properly again is to you! The good news is the following steps will be helpful in resolving your issue with your iPhone! Please make a backup of your personal data and use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iOS software to factory settings, as this process erases the information and settings on your device and installs a fresh copy of the latest iOS software. Temporarily setup your iPhone as new and test your issues. Then you can restore your backup to get your personal data back.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Cheers!

I'm trying to take a backup and it never completes.

It gives me the below 3 errors whenever I try to do so.

1) iPhone disconnected. Backup cannot complete.

2) Backup corrupt. Please delete the previous backup and take a new backup.

3) Cannot backup iPhone.

I doubt the restore from backup would help though as this will still have the software issues saved in the backup itself. This is what the Apple technician had once told me when my previous iPhone had a problem with the software.

I will try it though as soon as I get the backup.

Thanks!
