Q: Windows 10 on iMAC

  1. Has anyone tried installing Windows 10 on a iMAC (27-inch Mid 2011)?  Were you successful?  I have some windows apps I need to use that are not available for Mac OS and was about to buy Windows 10.  I checked the compatibility list and it does not have my iMac listed as being compatible.
  2. If Windows 10 is not compatible, does anyone have a recommendation as to what version of Windows I should get?
  3. Also, it seems that you are unable to buy earlier versions on the Microsoft site.  So, any suggestions as to where to buy an earlier version?

You can install Windows 10 using a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox. VirtualBox is free.
