Q: Internet sharing - internet doesn't work
Hello,
I have created an Internet sharing from USB Ethernet to Wifi on my MacBook Pro (2015). I am able to connect to the network with my iPhone, but i am unable to connect to the internet.
My network topology is Router (192.168.1.0/24) -> MacBook -> (192.168.2.0/24) iPhone.
Strange thing is, that i can connect to the router (which has IP 192.168.1.1). Therefore routing on MacBook works (i assume). But if i try to ping some external IP address, it stops on the router too.
More details:
Whole network is behind ISP's NAT.
The problem isn't wrong DNS for I have tried to ping IP address not a hostname.
If I open a webpage in Safari it says "Server is not responding".
I tried delete and readd all network interfaces.
This problem occured on El Capitan and now on Sierra.
I appreciate any advice. Thank you.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12)
