Q: No Sound from built-in speakers, why?

Internal speakers were working yesterday. I have gone into sound preferences and looked into output and input, fooled around with the volume keys, opened iTunes and selected a radio station to listen to and nothing audible from my unit. Unit is a MacBook Pro using OS 10.11.6; just updated from 10.11.5. Updates were installed between the events when I could listen and now when I can't listen. Hmmm ... could there be a problem due to the update?

AirPort Time Capsule, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
