Intuit Quickbooks online (qbo.intuit.com) no longer works on Safari with the latest update. anyone have a solution?

When I try to log in it now says "Please Update your browser to Safari 6.1 or higher". I am on Safari 10.0 (11602.1.50.0.10) and this problem just started happening when I updated my computer yesterday.

Anyone have a solution?

Ryan,

I found a work around from QBO. I read your Question yesterday and it is exactly the same problem I am having, starting yesterday. Intuit has blocked Safari at this time because of security issues. Julian gave me the work around.

Go to:

Safari Preferences

Advanced

at the bottom of the box, click on Show Developer in the Menu Bar and close box

Look at the Safari menu bar, Develop

Click on Develop

User Agent drop down

Click on Google Chrome - Mac

When I did this, my QBO account opened. YEA ! Haven't seen it for two day.

Yes, a work around from QBO yesterday from Julian.

Go to Safari Preferences

Go to Advanced tab

Check show Develop in menu bar

Close box

Go to Develop on menu bar

Go User Agent

Click on Google Chrome-Mac

And your QBO will open.

I passed this information on to another user yesterday and it worked for him.

Good luck.

Very Kindly,

Jim

Intuit shut off Safari 10 because of security reasons, per Julian. He was a big help.
