How to get CarPlay on iPad Air

My iPad has ios 10 but no car play under general settings. How do I get CarPlay on my iPad like on my iPhone ?

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Car Play is not supported on iPads. Only on iPhones:
