My iPad 3rd gen will not update to latest version of iOS

II've tried several times to update my 64 GB IPAD 3rd generation with no luck Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

AppleTV 2, iOS 6.0.2, Model md199lla

That's because it's not compatible. iOS 10 requires a 4th generation or later iPad.

If you’re trying to install iOS 10, you can’t on that device; its CPU isn’t powerful enough.

If you’re trying to install iOS 9.3.5, post back with what happens when you try.

If you’re trying to install an earlier iOS version, you can’t. Apple no longer signs them for an iPad 3.
