Q: Safari 10 breaks clicktoplugin, autoplays everything
Safari 10 finally breaks clicktoplugin, which has faithfully stopped autoplaying video for years. Even better, clicktoplugin allowed me to send frames to my AppleTV to play.
Currently, Safari 10 is autoplaying everything. This is chaos. How does anyone stand it? Background tabs just spontaneously erupt into advertisements, new loading tabs begin playing before they're loaded, robbing me of any useful audio alerts from my computer if I have Safari open.
Is there another extension that will interrupt these so they can be played one at a time on my preferred screen? Or a way for Safari to mute tabs until I'm ready for it to make sound, so my other applications can use sound?
Or a way to uninstall Safari 10 and go back to 9? Where this worked at least half the time?

You can re-enable ClickToPlugin, believe it or not, by re-enabling the Flash plugin (which Safari 10 disables by default).
Go to Preferences, click the "Security" tab, click "Plug-in Settings," and check the box next to "Adobe Flash Player."
