Q: macOS 10.12 mouse and bluetooth problems

Last night I upgraded my early 2015 MacBook Air 13" from El Capitan two issues have arisen. First with none of my mice will the OS implement the left mouse button as primary. The check box is set but all my mice, wired and RF, still only operate as right button primary. I can now not get any of 3 separate blue tooth mice to sync with the system. All of the issues were non existant before the upgrade. My Jabra blue tooth headphones will connect so all the issues are mouse subsystem related. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi ALNunn2010,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community! I understand you're having trouble with the left mouse button functionality and with getting your Bluetooth mice to pair. I like to use a wired mouse in addition to the trackpad on my MacBook, so I can understand wanting to make sure that your mouse is set up the way you'd like.

Since you're already familiar with how to change the settings for the mouse button, the first thing I recommend to try is starting up in safe mode. This will perform checks and clear some caches that could be causing issues.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up

I also recommend to try setting up a test user account to test this out. There may be software or a user file specific to your user account that is causing the issues and testing in another user will help determine if that's happening.

    Cheers!
