Can't add individual songs to up next in iOS 10.0 music app.

Just what the title says. I'm also talking about music loaded from my iTunes library, not Apple Music. In previous iOS versions, the three dots showed up next to all content in the music app to give the option to add to up next and now it only appears for albums, not individual songs. I used this feature a lot and I'm sure Apple has done away with it to somehow benefit Apple Music functionality (which I don't use) but it is frustrating to have to reorder everything manually rather than pick and choose. Just wondering if there is a setting to get this back or if it's gone for good.

Hello STYT13,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important being able to add songs to what music is playing next on your iPhone is to you! The good news is the following steps will help you understand how to setup songs in your Play Next queue in the Music app. While playing a song, swipe down on the Now Playing screen, and tap the Library option in the bottom left of the Music app. In the Library view, tap Songs and find the song you want to add next. Then tap and hold on the song, and a menu will pop up with options, including Play Next. I personally tested this myself, so hopefully this helps, and here is more about the options while playing songs in the Music app.

Hi,

I can select individual songs to "play next" but I can no longer "add to up next" allowing you to add multiple songs in the order that you select them. For example, I used to be able to select "Play Next" for song 1 then "add to up next" for song 2, then "add to up next" for song 3 and they would play in the following order: Song 1, Song 2, Song 3. Now, I can only select "Play next" which would cause the playback order to be Song 3, Song 2, Song 1. Also, I used to be able to drag and drop songs that are currently in the "Up Next" queue so that I could rearrange their order within the queue. Is there any way to do these things in iOS 10?

Yes. The "Add to up next" feature is now called "Play Later" and should show up under "Play Next" when you tap and hold the song you want to add to up next. This should add them in the order you choose.
