Mac OS X
Q: waited too long to download El Capitan
I was going to download but not install El Capitan before Sierra was released, but I procrastinated too long and now I don't see it available in the App Store and the App store is not showing (as it did for El Capitan) to upgrade to Sierra. I know I need El Capitan installed to be able to upgrade to Sierra as I can't just jump from Yosemite to Sierra. Is there a way to get El Capitan still through Apple?

You can go directly to Sierra from Yosemite.

If you are running any of these OS X versions, you can upgraded directly to Sierra
- OS X El Capitan v10.11
- OS X Yosemite v10.10
- OS X Mavericks v10.9
- OS X Mountain Lion v10.8
- OS X Lion v10.7
