Q: USB 2.0 not working in bootcamp Windows 10

Hello,

I am trying to use my USB 2.0 Pen drive on my MBP 13.3" in bootcamp Windows 10 and it is not showing in windows explorer. The pen drive does show in device manager though. I have tried my harddrive which is USB 3.0 and this works fine but the pen drive does not. I have tried many different solutions and none seem to work including reinstalling  hardware and changing the USB name I.e. H: to U:. In disk management the device is there but says 'no media' below it.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can get the USB to appear in Windows explorer and access files?

Cheers for any answers in advance.

the device is being seen the format is not. In some cases formatting on the Mac in Fat32 or ExFat is not readable on Windows. Reformat the device from the Windows Device Manager to Fat32 or ExFat, this will destroy the data and mount the drive. Alternately the device may have become unusable which can happen over time.

    Cheers mate.

I formatted the device on OS X so that I could view it in windows explorer on a different windows device. I then formatted it to exFAT on the windows device and it now works across all devices.
