Q: How do I edit my 406 still clips in iMovie 10.1 to play longer

I am trying to use iMovie 10.1 and cannot figure out how to make all the still clips longer. They are now less than a second. I changed the length in preferences, but that did not change anything. Help, please. I was very proficient in IMOVIE 09...

Changing preferences does not change the duration of stills already put in a project timeline.  What you can do is to select all affected stills in the timeline (click on them whilst holding command key down) then clicking on information (little 'i' in circle above viewer), typing in the desired duration then pressing return.
