iPhone 7 Rattle Top of Phone

Actually, my rattle is not audible but something I feel in my fingers as if something the size of a BB were being thrown against the right side of the phone from inside.

Further down the thread someone mentioned haptics and turning them off. I did so and the (silent) rattle is gone.

Did it resolve? Because my iPhone 7 Plus too started giving this rattle cracky sound after 4 months of usage! Its so annoying that whenever I use 3d touch, It gives this rattle sound as if something inside has fallen lose!

Pls suggest what to do!

It's the camera lens. It just does this. Other people have stated that their iPhone's have always done this. It's just the way the camera is designed. Mine does it. There is nothing wrong. I just use it.

The Haptic engine in the iPhone 7 is solid state. It's not a vibrate motor.

Seems other iPhone 7 users are beginning to notice this issue too.

This question pops up every time a new iPhone comes put believe me. The camera mechanism moves on a spring for focus and has multiple lenses, this causes that rattle, it has on all iPhones to some degree or another, its nothing to worry about.

You cant compare one make of phone against another, build is different. Top rattle is almost always camera I have seen this topic so often in the years I have been on this forum with every new phone release. As to the bottom you have a haptic engine of the iPhone 7 which has moving parts. These things will make noises if you 'tap them' but most people don't because unless your phone is rattling wildly in use there is noting wrong. Best advice, enjoy your phone and don't tap it.

This is 100% not true. I have owned every iPhone and the 7 is the first to have that rattle. Something inside is vibrating NO WAY that would be the camera mechanism.

The rattle is from the OIS, the iphone 7 ist the first non-Plus-Model with an OIS, so maybe this is why you didn't hear the rattle in previous models.

Maybe it's the vibrate motor..my iPhone 7 rattle is VERY loud and noticeable. We need to see where the vibrate motor is because there usually is a small, purposely unbalanced, armature that when spins, will spin like an unbalanced wash machine...in the past that's what it has been.

I have a new iPhone 7, and the rattle is really annoying. It is louder than the vibrate. I turned off haptic and removed the case and it is still happening. Really *****.

Welcome to Apple frustrations. Same problem an annoying rattle. My 6s plus was crappy sobi had to upgrade to this piece of junk phone and the rattle is the most annoying part. Apple doesnt care about their products they just sell their name.
