Alerts During the Day

Hi There

I'm new to Apple Watch. I have an Exchange calendar that syncs to my iPhone. On my calendar, I have added the lessons that I'm teaching throughout the week (I'm a teacher). My calendar reminds when a lesson is about to start (15 minutes before) but I would really like for my Apple Watch to subtly 'tap' me 10 minutes before the end of my lesson too so that I can wrap up the lesson neatly.

Does anyone have any ideas about how I could set this up? I'd be happy to use my existing Exchange calendar items if there's a way, or I would also be happy to set up completely separate reminders/alerts on my phone/watch if that's better.

I don't completely understand the relationship between my phone and watch yet - for example, if I create 'reminders' on my phone, will the watch 'tap' me when I'm not near my phone? I'll work that stuff out with a bit of practice.

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas/suggestions. Many thanks for 'listening'.
