Question

text font size

All of a sudden my fonts are too small. Facebook, websites, etc. Do not know how to fix this problem.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Thanks for being a part of Apple Support Communities.

If your fonts are being displayed too small in Safari only, then you can increase the size by following these steps:

Make the content larger for all webpages: Choose Safari > Preferences, click Advanced, then click the Page Zoom pop-up menu and choose a percentage

Zoom in on webpages

Now if this is happening in multiple apps on your Mac, then the display resolution might have been changed. Check out your options by following these steps:

OS X El Capitan: Adjust your display’s resolution

Thanks for your response Sterling. I have tried all of the suggestions before, and nothing is working right.

Can't imagine why I am having this problem.

Hi Carol,

Is this only when visiting websites in Safari, or is this happening on your Mac itself, including the text in Finder or on the Desktop?

After adjusting, the websites appear to be ok. All except for Facebook and 2 games I play. I just noticed that I have a problem on my iPad mini, the same problem with Facebook (fonts are tiny). I notified Facebook of the problem and got the run around saying "thanks for reporting this, we hope it will help us improve Facebook". All is ok on my iPhone 5s.except for Facebook. This makes me wary of updating to Sierra. Shall I call Apple support?
