HHow do you turn off visual voicemail? After iOS 10.0.1 when someone leaves. Voicemail it has it transcribed in writing and I don't want this. Called the carrier and they said it was with the iOS and not something they can turn off.

The carrier can disable VVM. You need to escalate to a tier 2 engineer if the tier 1 doesn't know how.
Voicemail transcription is a beta feature that appears on iPhone 6S or later.
You cannot turn it off independently. So you can ask your cellular carrier to turn off your visual voicemail.
FYI, voicemail transcriptions are all done on your iPhone and are not sent to Apple.
iOS 10 is a piece of crap. Since update, people can't hear me talk during a phone call intermittently, the phone app freezes and must be restarted, my phone continually restarts w/o warning. Very disappointed in Apple. I have reset network setting, settings in general I've reset. Phone calls are missed and go to VM, which then I can listen to until they are transcribed. ***!
I just bought a 7+, had a 6. This visual vm is something that I do not like at all. Does the 6 have the same feature since the new upgrade?
