My wife and i use the same apple id and now her phone contacts show up on my phone and mine on hers, also we both see each others phone calls. I have a I phone 5 and she has a 6s. we have always had the same apple id but this started recently.

Stop sharing an ID. They were never intended to be shared. There are other ways to stop some of what you're seeing, but they're just band aids. The proper way to deal with the situation is to use separate IDs.

For this and other features to work as intended, you should each have a separate Apple ID and be signed in accordingly on your devices.
