Does anyone know if the apple watch 2 is any better at detecting small movements?

I have the first gen apple watch. I work in a very busy, but small space on my feet all day and I get stand up notices all the time.

Apple has not announced any changes to the functionality of the built-in accelerometer for Apple Watch Series 2 (and I have not personally noticed any difference in use).


If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your Apple Watch (first generation) to the latest software, starting with your iPhone:
