Q: How can I see in the Mac Photos app the albums created in my iPhone/iPad that are stored in iCloud?

I have created several albums in my iPhone or iPad and they are synced and I can access them in iCloud.com but I can't see them in the Mac Photos app. The photos are synced but not the albums.

Is there a way to do it?

VIN, MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), macOS Sierra (10.12)

Are they all signed in to the same Apple ID and is the iCloud Photo LIbrary enabled on each?

The iCloud Photo Library is enabled on the iPad & iPhone but if I enable it on my Mac it will upload all my photos and my library is quite big (~500GB).

I can see the photos I take with my mobile devices but not the albums I create.

If I enable it I will be able to see the albums? Is there a way to enable it without uploading my whole library?

You can create a new Library for syncing with iCloud and retain your existing Library separately. Quit Photos and reopen with the option/alt key held down to create a new system Library. Then sync Photos with iCloud.
