Keyboard failed after update 10.10.5 on iMac (2013)

Hello,

I'm trying to fix a problem with a keyboard that doesn't work after an update to 10.10.5 on a iMac (2013)

My father in law, just update his OSX version and now the keyboard doesn't work anymore.

I tried to help him, with different solutions I found on the forum:

I tried this:

1: Turn off the iMac, remove al devices and wait for 10 min and the turn everything on again

DID NOT WORK

2: Tried to update to El Capitain OSX, the install of the OSX was no problem, but the keyboard still doesn't work

3: I tried to reset the RAM, but I can't do this because I need a combinations of keys to do it (will not work when the keyboard doesn't work 😉 )

Is there anybody out there who can help me?? or better who can help my father in law 🙂

Best regards,

Jeroen

Hi Eric,

Thx for your reply.

The problem that I have is with a wired usb keyboard.

I have tried these:

If your wireless or USB keyboard doesn't work

Keyboard Doesn’t Work

Keyboard Keys Do Not Respond

But the problem still remained.

I want to reset the NVRAM, but I can't do that because I have to use a keyboard command 🙂 and that I just the problem.

I also tried to install El Captain, but the problem remaines

Do you have any other suggestions?

Is the any plist that I can delete?

Regards,

Jeroen
