The software is recognizing my scanner, but not to print. I called apple support, who took me to the canon site to download the drivers. The drivers are no available anymore. I called canon, who basically said my printer (that was working perfectly fine prior to Sierra) is too old and there is nothing I can do. So am I supposed to get a new printer every time I update my software!? That's ridiculous! If there is in fact something I can do to fix this, please help me.

1) Try to copy and past all files and folders in the "Canon folder" located in the ~/Library/Printers/Canon

Link for the files:

2) Turn Off the printer and close the print queue

3) Open the System Preference and click on the "Printer and Scaner"

4) Click on the Canon MX310 series on the left

5) Probably you'll get an error message. Perfect !! Click on Repair the Printer.

Done !!!

Now everything should work. let me know

Hi, I'm having problems getting my Canon PIXMA MX310 to work on iMac Mac OS Sierra, for both Printer & Scanner. I tried downloading the ICA Driver v.4.0.0 (Mac) that was available through the link you provided for Canon PIXMA350. The driver installs successfully but I'm not able to scan. For printer, I also tried copying your files and followed the instructions you provided but the device does not show up on the left (as you indicated in Step #4. I'm not able to print either. It's not recognizing the printer/scanner's software. Can you help me further?
